Rt/W (through much critisism title was revoked)
I love this new build, its very fun...
Communing ~ 10 or 11
Restoration ~ 12 or 11
Swordsmanship ~ 12
Spawning ~ rest, should be 4 or 5
Use a 15% -5e sword (37 energy si enough), +15 armor while enchanted by a weapon spell, Restoration Focus (20%, +30hp). You should have around 510 health and be doing about 40's per hit to casters and 20 to wars. Works well and you can heal easily.
Brutal Weapon (15 sec +12 damage )
Sever Artery
Pure Strike*
Final Thrust**
Spirit Transfer
Soothing Memories (any other heal really...wielders boon is sometimes nicer, but not for the party)
Perservation {E}
Flesh of my Flesh
*(I find this better than galrath as it recharges fast and youll have 37 energy to waste)
**(or galrath, but bleeding lasts long enough to lose all adr.)

How is this better than a sin? IT simply is differnt, it's closer to an illusionary weapon.
Armor is not as strong...
You cannot teleport
it seems you only inflick bleeding, but a sin could easly put deep wound, poison, and bleeding
Your elite is perservation... it's a good elite, but i think you should use a different spirit and try to find a good warrior elite, since thats pretty much what you are doing
It seems... alright, but i think you might get killed pretty quickly with such a low AL
To say x is ebtter than y... is plain wrong. This thread is just kinda arguing warrior is better than sin, since all your skills basically are designed to do melee damage. I would try this build out on those jade knights or something, i bet it won't hold up like other rit builds could.. those dudes are like a chuck norris cult.

the name was to get attention
theyd have 75AL, just as good as a ranger, sometimes the same as a sin. I have stood up to wars and won with this build.
I havent experimented with Quivering Blade or Dragon Slash yet, but the healing is nice, and by using perservation it helps the entire party as well.

have you considered using nightmare weapon instead? 42 armor bypassing damage+42 pt heal on top of base sword damage.
go for deep wound if possible as well and you can make people cry.

I would suggest doing W/Rt. You don't really need spirits and you definitely could benefit from Strengths. Brutal and Guided Weapon are a nice choice. I'd also maybe take a conditions management spell like Resilient Was Xiko, or maybe like Resilient Weapon. I'd still take Heal Sig over most any other heal. Depends on what you feel comfotable with and how many points you can spare where. And yea, this doesn't anyhow compare to Assas.

i tried war/rt, it just didnt work. I dont know why, but i couldnt function with this build. Plus i dotn look drunk when im attacking
Wielders Boon = 90 health, 25 less than sig (at lvl 10, which i use most of the time on my war) and no armor penalty + 1 sec less
Spirits heal for 165 or something like that from spirit transfer, and also perservation helps heal the party, never a bad idea.

or MM experiments
But nevertheless, I saw a Rt/W melee one day in RoF. We had finished and this guy hadnt dying during the mission. It was quite surprise. Well he used a axe with Eviscerate and used weapon spells.

Im sure that axes and (maybe?) hammers + daggers would work, but i just love the sword skin while under weapon enchantments, i mean, whats this game about except weilding a big sword of stone and looking drunk while attacking with it? did i mention youll be fighting big guys in steel armor with some cloth armor you found in the city for 6k? WOHOO!

I tried a Rt/W last night with a hammer in RA to see how effective it is. With the spirits around, its good. I tried with Wanderlust [E], Shadow Song and Earth Binder. Its good but a lack of armor.
Another thing, Male Ritualist have an another animation with hammer while summoning a spirit.

1) I got mine from Keining Center, but its not enchanted, BUT enchanted with a weapon spell. I think they have that armor everywhere though?
2) I have thought of wanderlust, but i would have to give up either a attack skill or healing, so i just stuck with perservation. Shadowsong is defineatly easily incorperated, but i just prefered having more self heals and attacks over it. And with only 5 spawning, it isnt really a great spirit spammer...
3) Try using a R/A, when they cast spirits the rit is on the ground waving his daggers in the air like a spaz

i have a Rt/W for PvE and i use a Crenellated Sword with a similair build for just partying up and helping on Shing Jea, and i must say I REALLY LOVE how the rits swing swords and stuff. All loose and sloppy; looks like they really put all their weight into it :P
